Recipe: BBQ JACK SANDWICH

Simple, Flavorful, and BBQ Worthy Jackfruit Sandwich

Ingredients

• 1 pack Jackfruit Co Marinated BBQ Jackfruit

• 1-2 tsp vegenaise

• 1 whole avocado

• 2 bun sets

  
  

Cole Slaw Ingredients

• 1/4th purple cabbage – chopped

• Less than 1/4th green cabbage – chopped

• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

• 2 tbsp lemon juice

• Salt & pepper

• 1/2 cup @followyourheart vegenaise

  
  

Directions

1. Prepare the Coleslaw

   Combine all coleslaw ingredients in a bowl. Toss well and set the mixture in the fridge to chill. This helps the flavors meld together, making your coleslaw delicious and refreshing.

   
   

2. Cook the Jackfruit

   Grab a skillet and heat 1 teaspoon of oil over medium heat. Add your jackfruit to the pan. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. This allows the jackfruit to warm up and get a bit crispy on the edges.

   
   

3. Toast the Buns

   While the jackfruit is cooking, toast your buns until they are golden brown. This adds a nice texture to your sandwich.

   
   

4. Assemble the Sandwich

   Once the buns are toasted, spread avocado and a layer of vegenaise on the bottom half of each bun. This adds creaminess and rich flavor to your sandwich.

   
   

5. Add the Jackfruit and Coleslaw

   Place a generous amount of the cooked jackfruit on top of the avocado-covered buns. Then, heap a handful of coleslaw on each jackfruit layer. This gives a wonderful crunch and tanginess that balances the rich flavors well.

   
   

6. Top and Serve
